My Story

I started with doing my own hair,  family members  and friends as early as 13 years of age in middle school and  continued thru college. It started as a dream business between myself and one of my best friends. Back then I just knew that I was passionate about doing hair because I loved doing it. Now I'm for sure that I am definitely blessed with this gift from God. After graduating high school I attended a private university in Austin that eventually became to expensive so I decided to come home to Houston obtain my license and focus on expanding my clientele. I wanted to do what came natural to me and live my dream. I worked as an apprentice in a salon until I received my license in July of 2007. I worked in that salon for 8 years and the majority of my first clients I still service today. Now fast forward,  I  am the proud co-owner of True Salon which is located inside of Image Salon Studios where I work side by side with my cousin.   In this chapter of my life I am blessed with clients who are still present and faithful after all of these years.  I am  thankful for every client and for the abundance of new clientele. May 2021 I was diagnosed with Triple Negative Stage III Breast Cancer, I have finished chemotherapy and decided on a double mastectomy. I will undergo radiation Feb 2022. God nothing BUT GOD!  My story is still in motion with my dreams and the ultimate goal of expansion which I continue to leave in Gods hands. I am a SURVIVOR-He has yet to lead me wrong!
